Description

Moving with a graze beyond most people, this dark-elf keeps an watchful eye for anything that moves. A pair of deep red eyes looks from beneath the shadows of a dark hood, that covers most of his head, shoulders and back. A long dark cape is covering the body, hiding what could be an full suit of armor. On his feet a pair of comfortable shoes that seems well used. His right hand holds a shield, that almost seems to be to huge for this short person, yet its held with a firm grip, like the weapon in the other hand. Around his body seems to be an invisible aura of some sort, yet you feel it without a doubt. Around the face, small wrinkles can be seen. The burning eyes still keeps a watch on all that happens around him. Upon his forehead a tattoo of a black crown seems to almost melted away some of the skin. Leaving a burning image of the crown. There is no sign of hair left on his head, nor any eyebrows.

Zhabala Dohaz was born deep within the underdark, not in the drow city, but a
small encampment even below the city. He quickly realized, that his fragile
body wasnt meant to do hard labour. So he watched in awe, as some of his
mates grew to be fierce warriors. Often when they traveled together, they
looked down on Zhabala's fighting abilities, and fragile body. They laughed
at his expense, taunted him and he envyed they life, their muscular bodys and
everything about them.

He hated them! Everyone of them, even they where his own kin. He wanted so
bad that they would like him, play with him, travel with him. 

Often the warriors collapsed late at night, after having been fighting a
whole day. Their arms and legs sore, and covered in wounds. So he went to the
most fierce of all the warriors, and in the middle of the night, he began to
pray over him. Not telling a single one what he did. The next day, the
warrior woke up, not a single scratch, not one muscle that hurts. So even he
was better than the other warriors before, he was now dominating them, as
they still had small bruises and cuts. 

Zhabala never revealed to others what he did, but from then on, he knew that
the powers he controlled, was suitable. 

After a few years, people he had never seen before came and razed the
encampment, forcing Zhabala to flee.

Religion and praying

Zhalaba is driven by envy. Envy to others strength and powers in particular.
Unaware (at least for now) of his own strength and value, he takes very small
steps, and he will never admit that he envies someone. 
Instead he will claim to be driven by ambitions, but then again - What is the
difference between envy and ambitions, in Zhabala's world they are the same,
at least in his head. However, he is realistic and will never reach out for
something that right now seems far off. Even he deep inside dream about the
Emperor's throne, it is far off as an oath, he will only claim he dreams of
becoming a real member of the Divine. 

Not feeling he is good enough, Zhabala tends to be angry at everyone.
However, it will rarely show in any way other (at least for now). 

He will pray for the dark lords, and the lords of the Empire, as his patron
has no name, no face, no place of worship. So he will find places of
abandoned holyness, old shrines and the like to pray from. The strength of
his God(s) isnt coming from one place, and therefor he also believe that his
religion is more powerful than other priests, who worships only one place.

Ambitions

Right now Zhabala envy's almost everyone. The warriors for being strong, and
fierce. The other priests, for their religion, and their patron. Mages for
their ability to draw power from what seems to be thin air. Thiefs for their
ability to take things they want, simply by stealing it, and so on. 
He envy's the citizens of the empire, as they have been noticed in some way,
and raised from the ranks of the oath, to a full member of the Empire. 

Often he is frustrated with this. Yet, he wont admit to others that he envy
them. Instead his envy is manifested in a belief to do things better, than
others, and that way around be noticed for his abilities, and skills. 

He doesnt feel like he have an religion, even he found an altar of Envy, he
discovered that this altar belongs to a immortal who havent been seen for a
long time. So he doesnt pray for him, but for Envy in general, but will from
time to time use the place to pray from. 

At first his ambitions is just to "belong" somewhere, but they go much deeper
than that. He dreams of becoming a priest, high priest, and emperor, yet he
is still young, and have time on his side.

The quest for power - So it begins.

Zhabala headed to the altar of Envy, hoping someone would hear his prayers.
And eventually someone did, but not anyone he would have dreamed of. Belial,
one of the arch devils of the inferno heard his calling, and answered it. An
Arch Devil of great power, and he offered some of it to Zhabala. 
A bargain with the devil never comes for free, so curious to know the price
he asked Belial of it but was told that for now, it would be negotiable.
There was little doubt in the mind of Zhabala that he wanted the power, but
was the price to high? No, how could the price be to high? The power drawn
from an Arch Devil would clearly be greater than any God. So he accepted and
soon after, he walked out of the altar with powers unknown to any mortal.

Raising within the Empire.

After having gained the power from the Arch Devil, Zhabala turned his
attention towards the halls of the Empire. Using every oppotunity to prove
his worth. It was not long before he faced the Emperor, and was asked to join
him. How could he not? Even he was young, he should now travel with one of
the most fierce warriors known to man. Alone his aura and voice was a booming
with power. The trip went fine, and after securing the Fetish from the Tree,
the Emperor raised Zhabala within the ranks of the Empire. He was no longer
an bloodoath, but a full member of the Empire. 

A few trips more with the Emporer, and the Elite blades Kregan and Althariel
secured the Emperors trust in him. He was told he did well, so he bursted
with pride. So many fierce warriors, and he was accepted among them.

The quest for power

Added Wed Feb 25 19:13:41 2015 at level 32:
Zhabala has gained the trust of the Emperor and most of the Empire. If he
could play his card right, the empty seat of the High Priest would soon be
his. Even he broke Imperial law, in the heat of a battle, he took his
punishment, and was slain by the dark mage Boelga, as the Emperor demanded a
fight to the death.

But soon after, he showed the dedication and powers to the Emperor himself,
who did not cast him to the ranks of the oath, but instead advanced him to an
acolyte of the Empire. If only he could gain more of the Devils powers, the
path to the empty seat at the council is open. Perhaps then for once, Zhabala
is not the one who will envy others, but others will envy him.

Belial's bargain.

Added Sun Mar 1 08:45:11 2015 at level 39:
Zhabala was out travelling one day, when Belial surfaced and approached him
as he had prayer for a taste of more of his powers. 
He was tasked, with giving one dead body to the dark Devil, not just a dead
body, but a dead body of one of the Empire. Zhabala accepted the task, and
tasted a tiny bit more of the Devils powers. 
Earlier when he awoke, he was asked to join Urlryn, a shaman of his own sect,
and the mummy Lord Zraerael. This was a perfect oppotunity, to leave a body
behind as the wounds of the Mummy could not be cured or tended by Zhabala, so
technically if the mummy died the bargain was complete. But the mummy proved
to be alert and fleed every time he was hurt, thus he kept himself alive. 
Then Lianthe came to the Palace, and attacked the vanquisher and all rushed
to the gates. Fighting took place, and Lianthe managed to kill the mummy.
Zhabala's task was complete. A dead member of the Empire lied dead before his
feet, because his wounds wasnt healed. Soon after Urlryn was attacked by
Lianthe, and even if I tended his wounds, the disembowel from Lianthe was not
something Zhabala could heal as death had already occured. So this time a
dead body, of not only the Empire, but Zhabala's own sect was lying dead
before his feet. 
It was once again time to seek the Dark Devil.

Building of a shrine

The great devil Belial came to me, when I sat deep within the City of Dis, near his domain.
He wanted a shrine built in within the world above, so in search of a perfect place of a shrine
Zhabala went to the lands of the Empire and the dark shrine within.
He presented the Devil with the place, and it was approved, this was the place where a shrine would
be build in his honor.
After speaking with Emperor Xeneth of such, Xeneth approved that his High Priest had a place of
worship near the palace. 

However, the Holy Overseer, Lord Destuvius heard of the plans and approached the High Priest,
denying the building of a shrine to the Arch Devil within HIS lands. Well, unless Zhabala managed
to sit upon the throne it self. Only then would the Lord support such shrine to be build within the lands.

The Throne

Today I gave the oath to a young necromancer named Jarem. Offering him my aid
in his raise in the guild, and sect. The black sect is almost empty, and few
seems to care. My plan is, to aid the dark mage, in return he has sworn to
support me at the throne. 

Gaining the throne is the only way, that I can please the Dark Lord, as well
as Lord Destuvious.

51 456 Twist Sindrir, Zhabala, and Fessara took the Orb, but Outlander/Fort took the Codex while they did id. Sindrir passed the Orb to the orcs, which is in violation of Imperial Law. Inquisitor tasked them with getting the Orb back.
