Description

Strings of beads and thin strips of dark, earth-toned fabric wrap around the thin frame of this pale gray-skinned man. His golden eyes are alive and keen, accented by a hint of madness offered by a wildly bemused brow. His cheekbones are high and sharp, but his drowish features are blunted by an almost sub-human heritage. Primitive feather charms, paired with refined embroidery, round out an eclectic assortment of accessories. Somehow, they fail to click or jingle, despite the man's long strides.

Zhebulon was born in the wilds of the Underdark. He had four brothers: three 
elder and one younger. For one day, he had a sister, before his father threw 
her into a bottomless pit. Zhebulon's father had no tolerance for weakness, and 
women are weak and therefore useless. Zhebulon's three elder brothers beat him 
mercilessly when he was very young, thereby gaining favor in their father's 
eyes, aside from the sheer satisfaction they derived from the violence itself. 
In turn, Zhebulon abused his youngest brother, venting all his rage. He made 
sure to do so where his father could see, and his father looked on approvingly. 
As he grew into the prime of his youth, his frame caught up to, and his cunning
by far exceeded those of his past tormentors. The time for vengance began. 
His younger brother had died to his hands some time since, leaving him with
no one to abuse for quite some time. Now, he released his wrath upon his 
remaining brothers. One was crippled by poison, another lost the use of his eyes, 
and the eldest was killed outright. When Zhebulon's father came to recognize 
his son's cunning and might, he bestowed upon him the adamantite daggers he
once wielded as a soldier of Teth Azeleth. Zhebulon took the blades and killed 
his father where he stood. 

He knows how to hurt, and in hurting, he lives. He cares not for philosophy, 
wealth nor recognition. Violence, once a means to the end of culling the weak, 
is now for him the end itself. He is not a reckless and wild beast, however. He 
is highly intelligent, knows the psychology of animosity, the laws of nature, 
that the strong must destroy the weak. And he knows that to ignore this would 
mean his own destruction. In the world outside the Underdark, he sees men use 
violence to gain what they called "power." Zhebulon wanted power from the first 
moment he learnt of its existence. He does not want power for its own sake. 
He does not want to use violence to gain power. He wants to be powerful in 
order to cause as much pain as possible. This notion makes no sense to the 
conventionally "sane" mind. But this is what drives Zhebulon. As it was 
once his place to receive beatings from his brothers rather than administer 
them, he knows that until he got this power, he would not be able to destroy
those around him. 

He will tolerate others as needed. Tolerate abuse from them, even. But the 
moment he knows they are weaker than he, Zhebulon will make sure they die a 
painfull, horrifying death. And he will love listen to their dying screams of 
agony as he ends them. While initially being somewhat of a physical brute, he
soon realized that the pain that can be inflicted on the mind far exceeds what 
can be done with a body. So he sought out the magical school of Transmutation
for his sinister purposes.
