Description
This creature stands at about twice the height of the
average human. His skin is a deep black, looking as
though it were charred by the fires of Hell. There
does not seem to be a single strand of hair anywhere
on this giant's body--his hair follicles seem to have
been melted off. There are two very noticeable scars
on his body. One wraps around his entire head, and the
other is enormous in size, being a wide, jagged line
going down his chest. His chest appears abnormally
large, as if something is protruding from the inside
out. His entire body is covered in a network of bulging
veins, indicating his great physical prowess. His face
reveals strong features; well defined cheek bones, a
broad chin, and a thick forehead. Deep-socketed fiery
red eyes show more than a glimmer of intelligence, as
though they were stolen from some commanding demon.
This is one large and monstrous looking humanoid.

Kelnarn's Diary: Entry #003407 - Captive Zherdov
Added Sat Feb 24 02:08:19 2007 at level 10:
- This is the first Red Giant we have managed to capture
in quite some time. There is no doubt that this young and
vigorous giant carries the hereditary traits of rage and
fiery anger, which is common amongst his race; he managed to
wound two guards during his capture. He has strong features
known amongst the great giants of Kiadana Mountain. I can
only assume he attempted to hideout in my mansion, trying to
conceal himself from the raiders(Maran), who I should mention
dare not enter my mansion, lest they be met with death and
dismemberment.
- This giant perks my curiosity. Instead of my routine
experiments and malicious torture, I will create something of
this Red Giant. I am nobility after all, and shouldn't I have
a bodyguard? I think so. I will make this Red Giant a
splendid creation! He will make a fine pet!

- Kelnarn walked deliberately into the basement(Dungeon)
to select a few jars from a second of shelves described as
"experimental". Nodding to himself, and grabbed two water-
filled jars, one labelled as "Barovia Black Dragonheart",
and the other laballed as "Dark-Elf Brains". Kelnarn threw
his head back into the darkness and laughed manically,
"Prepare the operating table!"
Zherdov Undergoes Initial Surgery
Added Sat Feb 24 02:10:09 2007 at level 10:
- Zherdov sat in his jail cell, magically weakened by the
powerful Vampire Kelnarn of the Mansion of Twilight. Death,
in what seems to be every way imaginable, filled his every
sense; Hearing, sight, smell, touch, and even a taste of
death, as though there were an ever present mist of blood
and decay filling the air. This sense of death disturbed even
a brute like Zherdov, as he cringed at hearing the many cries
for help and the screams of agony echoing through the dungeon.
- The Red Giant was forced from his cell and strapped to
an operating table. Strange and wicked devices filled the
walls and the trays on the table tops. Zherdov looked about
frantically, terrified of the impending doom that awaited
him. The surgeon made the first incision into Zherdov, and
he slipped into unconsciousness...
Kelnarn's Diary: Entry #003410 - Surgery Success and Update
Added Sat Feb 24 02:11:48 2007 at level 10:
- The operations have thus far been a success. I have
guards monitoring the Red Giant and his condition at all
times, to ensure he is properly bandaged, fed and hydrated.
He is recovering much more swiftly than I expected. The
remaining surgery will take place in a few days, pending
the rate of his recovery.
- Overview of completed procedures:
- Dragonheart: His heart has been replaced with the heart
- of a Black Dragon of Barovia. This will allow
- his blood to flow and pump harder and faster,
- giving him greater strength, endurance and
- recovery.
- Steel Ribcage: The Dragonheart was considerably larger than
- his previous heart, so his ribcage was re-
- constructed to fit the protruding and vulner-
- able Dragonheart.
- Charred Flesh: The Red Giant underwent several rotations in
- the Crematory. Between repetitions, we placed
- him in a tank of ice water. The combined heat
- and cold calloused his skin enough to make it
- very thick and tough.
- The final procedure, as I mentioned will take place
in a few days, his brain will be replaced with the brains
of a Dark-Elf. This operation should make him more aware
and versatile to the warrior's way. I have anticipated the
opportunity to perform such an operation for quite sometime.
This Red Giant had better hurry with his recuperation.
Zherdov's Recovery
Added Sat Feb 24 02:12:05 2007 at level 10:
- The guards came into Zherdov's cell on a routine
check. Zherdov sat in the corner of the cell, still
appearing to be weak and in recovery. The guards changed
the blood-soaked bandages around his head. When they
finished, Zherdov grinned at them, and as though he were
some deceitful Dark-Elf, he grabbed hold of the two
guards heads and slammed them together, knocking them
both out cold. As stealthily as a Drow in a Giant's
body could, he crept his way out of the mansion.
Forgetting he was in a Giant's body though, he managed
to get stuck climbing out of a window. Thankfully, he
quickly realized the potential strength he had, and
punched out the frame of the window, setting himself
free.
Dark-Elf Brain
Added Sun Feb 25 23:25:22 2007 at level 17:
- Zherdov was the name of the Dark-Elf whose brain
now possesses the body of a brutish Fire Giant. The Drow
was a skilled combatant from the Army of Darkness, led
by the Demon Goddess Lloth, Spider Queen of Chaos and
Destruction. The primary objective of this army was to
utterly destroy the imperfect world around them, which
they viewed as plagued by weakness. They would create
a new age in the image of the Goddess herself; Only the
Fittest Survive.
- Many, many years ago, the Army of Darkness was
eradicated by an era of bloodshed, known as the Chaos
Wars of the Underworld. The times were infested with
great battles filled with swords, sorcery and the
unholy. Only by happenstance did the vampire, Kelnarn,
come across one of the battlegrounds in which he
collected many specimens for his experiments, one of
them being Zherdov's brains. That is how this Drow was
preserved all of these years, and now he has been given
an opportunity to continue serving his Queen as one of
the last survivors.
- Zherdov must learn to adapt, and must do so
quickly, for in the "Upperworld", there are a million
ways to die, and so few ways to live. He has never
experienced the Upperworld until now, and the lifestyle
is completely different from what he remembers. Also,
the fighting techniques he once knew will no longer be
of use. That fighting style relied on his smaller, more
nimble body, and the use of lightweight swords. He is
now encumbered by a large, slow, but extremely powerful
body. There are ways to attain great power in the
Upperworld, and it is up to him to figure out how to
seize and control this power... He will find a way to
fulfill the prophecy of the Demon Goddess.
