Description
A average looking traveler stands before you, not more than five and a half
foot tall. A heavy robe, with accompanying hood obscure most of his features.
Steel grey hair peaks out from under the hood, while blue eyes glinting with
the same steel that colors his hair. Sharp angular features and almond shaped
eyes declare this figure an elf. The slight creak of leather armor betrays
the fact that though clothed lightly the traveler is clearly not unarmed, nor
unpreppared. Though well masked by the loose drapped clothing you note the
figure walks smoothly and gracefully, likely well trained and honed if not
muscular. The robes themselves are notable as well as they are solid black
and lack any adornments. Looking closer your notice...

The Blood Tribunal

Having brought this small village to such an utter state of despair and hopelessness
I felt as is larger tasks lay before me. With the knowledge it would take far more
than this to earn my rightful place of power in the afterlife and end my suffering.
I set off on the road once more remembering stories I had heard of a huge city by
the surface dwellers standings. A city named galadon.
It had been two years since I came to this place. Each day I am disgusted and yet
strangely intrigued by the things I see. A group of individuals who have devoted
themselves to upholding the laws of the surface in the majors cities. They call
themselves the Blood Tribunal. These laws they speak of seem primitive to me
however within their twisting spiral home I see the potential for power. A staging
ground for my war of atrition against the souls of Thera. Within their ranks I will
suffering the Omen deems I shall experience, yet in the process the messenger shall
find themselves name a criminal. Harassed by the endless legions of guards and
watchmen that plague this surface.
The general well being of the citizens of such places mean nothing to me. However,
I will play the part of caring lawmen when it is nessecary. Decieving any who look
to closely at my actions. As for this insufferable fools who call me brother and
companion. They are truly my most despised of enemies. Can they not see that we are
all damned to suffer the same the fate. It matters not how many you think you may
save with your laws and your justice. These things mean little in the face of the
Omen. I will be there laughing, laughing the echo cries of a madman as you finally
come to realize your fate fools.

What little knowledge I possed of this unusual surface realm seems to fail me at
every turn. The masters of the academy spoke of the inhabitants as lesser beings.
Merely spared their lives for dealing with this burning sun far outweighted any
poissble gains. I am often turned away or stopped with weapons drawn because of my
heritage. The legacy of my people has spread far it seems, for good reason aswell.
Truly the largest difference I have found in this new land is lack of a truly defined
hierarchy and order. Many outsiders would describe my home of Teth Azeleth as a
chaotic place. Be that as it may all of it citizens are driven by the tenants of
the spider goddess and the fear of those who fail in their pursuit. These factors
bring a strange sense of order to the many layered webs of chaos.
With each month that passed the string of the sun slowly became tolerable. My forays
started much earlier in the days with the sun high overhead. As I had experienced
arriving in settlements and villages in the dark of night, the reaction was much the
same. The fear in their eyes on looking at my smooth ebony skin. I drank it all in
savoring their terror. It was not long before I employed my magnificent training
striking under the cover of darkness. Taking the life of a villager, leaving a cold
bloodless corpse in their wake.
After three weeks of nightly raids, the increased patrols of their watch was not
enough to keep my out. During the day I would lurk silently in the shadows. The
rumors of something far worse and demonic than a lone drow amused me. How easily
these simple minded folk had lost their faith and hope. There was no joy left in
their lives fearing that every night was to be there last. They went about their
routines as if zombies. Paralyzed by the despair.

It has been four years since my flight from the city of spiders. The lightless barren tunnels of the Underdark appear
as a reflection of my own suffering. Murky and unending.... I thought I had understood my fate some time ago
when my mother beat me after admting fealty to their wicked Goddess. Yet, how wrong I was. With each passing day
any thoughts of hope for something greater are squashed as I find myself facing another cave-in or dead end tunnel.
My torturer and salvation had been given a name all once, Beroxxus the Ill Omen. However, it was of little use trapped
in this unending maze of caves. I knew from the studies in the academy a passage to the surface lay somewhere north
of Teth Azeleth. A cave that lead into a mountainous path near a great river. Sickened with the knowledge that if I
could not escape to the surface and learn more of Beroxxus I was damned to suffer eternally in this life and
whatever lay next.
Whenever the gravity of my situation became too much for my to handle, I resorted to mutilating myself. A slow
cut with a knife on whatever limb I choose at the time, holding my hands over open fire until my flesh bubbled.
The pain and agony brought me back to my senses. Giving me purpose once more.
Bathing my body in its searing light, burning my subterrean eyes. I knew I had finally found my escape. This horrible
thing had to be what they called the Sun. Another devious torture device no doubt concieved by the ill omen. A strange
new world lay before me.
History

Deep within the bowels of the earth, on the dark streets of Teth Azeleth. The virtues of the spider queen are forced
on the young, demanding obdeince and unquestioning loyalty. At the head of this are the Matron mothers, so called
living avatars of this wretched goodess.
The earliest memories Zikaroz can conjure of are wicked beating at the hands of his siters. How often they proclaimed
the migth of Lloth and his lesser statue as a male. Often as he lay bloodied and weak on the floor they would preach
to him offering solace and power within the eyes of the spider goddess. It was determined he best serve his house
attending the warriors academy.
So it came to pass, Zikaroz learning the finnesse and discipline it took be one of the feared drow warriors of Teth
Azeleth. Yet, the beatings and demands of fealty to LLoth continued. Soon Zikaroz began to develop an immense
tolerance for pain. Often he would flash his perfect teeth in a mocking smile, this merely enraged his sisters. How
much harder the whip and punches landed on those occassions.
On his 50th year of life, Zikaroz was a graduate of the academy and return a noble warrior of his house. Within hours
of his return he was face down on the chapel floor a vicious snake headed whip tearing fresh marks in his back.
However, this time the whip was wielded by his mother. Once again the demands came to swear his undying loyalty to
Lloth. Realizing that is he was ever to accomplish anything and rise to any station of power attainable for a lowly
male he must submit.
Screaming with all his anger and hatred at these devious whores he knelt down and swore his life to the demon Lloth.
It took less than a minute before one of the snake heads tore into flesh, sending blood spilling down his shoulder.
At that moment Zikaroz realized he was damned. Damned to suffer torment regardless of his actions.
Over the next few months he began to look his surronding as a prisoner, the females of his house the jailers. Knowing
that a ruthless beating could happen at any moment, he began to test his limits. Yearning hear his body broken at
hands. Slowly he began to test his limits. Speaking back to them, daring to grab the whips before it struck him. The
cocky smile he once flashed as they struck him turned into a venemous laughter of madness.
Suffering a beating that nearly ended his life for daring to step on and crush a spider in his mothers presence.
Zikaroz was restricted to his bed as he regained the use of his legs. During this period of recovery one of the house
servants brought an exotic book from the surface to his chambers for him to examine.
Within these pages the true realization of damnation came to life. The pages spoke years long gone. An acient being
being who sought power and influence. The source of his agony was revealed as was his salvation. With a whisper
he spoke a name.... Beroxxus.
