Description

Before you appears a dark-elf with soot colored skin and slicked-back white hair. A cleanly shaven face on a young proud man with piercing sky-blue eyes. Even though in his youth, his material standings seem lacking, his attire is prestinely kept. Sheathed and attached to his belt is two fairly standard looking swords, that look abnormally well kept for a warrior. He is of a rather slender build but has an arrogance that lofts about him in his ellogent posture.

Role

Chapter 1: From the dumps to a boastful imperial soldier

A son of none, a bastard to the streets of Hamsah. 
Born a drow, hated just for existing, but that hate
and neglect is what made this one strive to live. 
When denizens of the city would scoff and taunt me, 
just for being born. This anger, this pain, this despair, 
that I had felt as a child turned into a understanding 
far greater in myself, that turned into pride and arrogence.

I had realized that overtime, the reason why the masses despised 
me were not because I was inferior to them, but because they were
afraid of me, wanted to demoralize me and deny that which is great
in being born a full blooded dark-elf. It took many years of being 
a peasent, an orphan, to realize that even as a child, the hatred 
I received was due to me being far greater than most of the existing
common rabble here. 

Pride swelled up in me, pride in me as an individual, pride in my race, 
pride in my mere existance. For one lonely, almost broken child, to 
be universally hated, I grew up to a man of great pride in himself, 
and an arrogent nature about myself. Everyone was beneath me, and 
I was to set my place in the world so I took to my pride and became
a member of the warriors guild. At this time I wasn't sure my direction
I just would learn how to turn that hatred into fear, that way most
would avert their gaze and silent their tongues in my presence. 

I trained for many years and became quite proficient in the guild but
I needed to find a focus in my life, and admist my early adventuring
days, a powerful Necromancer greeted me with an offer that was all too
fitting, the bloodoath to join the imperial army. A place where my 
greatness would be recognized and my pride could carry the weight of 
a thousand stones amongst the masses. Were I to rise up in the ranks
so that my name would be recognized in the world as the true greatness
that lives within me.

Chapter 2: A touch about my progression as my Imperial pride swells.

I've only known myself as Ziryn, the dark-elf orphan who lived on the streets of Hamsah.
Now I am known as Ziryn, a warrior who holds the position of Elite Imperial Blade, in the 
Imperial army. It has been a long journey and one fit to boast about as it was no 
simple task. I had always felt I'd become great in some form, that is why I always
kept an aspiring pride in myself, and my accomplishments, and have developed such 
in regard to the Empire as well. 

I must say, there was a miner disturbance to my path, when a moronic duergar who
wasn't even worth licking my boots tried to subvert me from the Empire by attacking my
hired mercenary in Galadon. One of the shrouded divine did not find me killing him for 
his crimes, "orderly". In this moment while I wore the badge of Anathema, despairingly, I 
learned that I had some worth to the Empire by the graciousness of our loving dark God, 
Gaspare. I had not considered myself a devout person, but in this instant I had found a
desire to follow him in his teachings, I just have yet to approach him on such a subject.

I had thought about following a previous God before him, who considered pride to be a sin,
but from my understanding, he enjoys indulgence in such. I disagree with this concept as my 
pride is not a sin, and has brought me to greatness. I just feel that it is a sort of 
passion. Also, the lord himself had dispersed from the Empire as Gaspare made himself
an immortal leader over us, thus I feel that my intention might have been worth proceeding
in that direction, if he were still watching over the Empire.

I have grown to greatness, rather quickly, but one thing that is discouraging is
that the other blades pale in comparrison to me, I am prideful that I bring the greatest
honor to the Imperial blade sect when it comes to bringing war, but cannot find pride in
the other blades, but I aspire to become a diamond amongst the ranks, not just the shinest
piece of coal, as I explained to my Lord Gaspare. I will shine under his passionate rule
and teach many in my life to come.

Chatper 3: A bit of history in a long journey

A bit of back dating. I had been an imperial for so long. 
From oath, to blade, to anathema, to oath once again and 
eventually after many years of dedication, warmaster.

I served my God, Gaspare, but not in a typical way as I had 
yet to seek him out for guidance in a real way that most seek 
their dieties. I hesitated on the fact, knowing that my sphere
that I was born with, did not align with him, though that is 
something I cannot control. Ever since he came to me, as I just
became a blade, and informed me I was his deadliest blade, but in 
comparison to the others, I was still an unrefined piece of coal.
I mentioned to him on that eve, that I would soon become a diamond 
of his in such a regard. And with my pride carrying me, I bled my 
foes dry and succeeded, being named elite and maybe a year later, 
War Master. 

Pride has carried me through many things, but I had no aspirations
except in what I did with my own two hands, but the passion seemed
lacking. I remember the first time I devised a quick poem for a 
gathering in the Inn, and I was told it was quite passionate. I lacked
skill in the proper use of verse, but it was heartfelt. At this point
my passion grew for lord Gaspare's teaching, even though I had saught 
it before, this drove me to study him from afar and try to learn how 
to find favor in me to some degree. 

Time passed and the trials of the Empire were obvious. In many times I had 
no allies to aid me, and would have many enemies gunning for my throat, though
I fought, I killed, I escaped narrow death and in some cases fell in combat. 
Then there were times of great imperial presence, and our enemies skuttled 
to shelter in fear of us, though that is the tide of war and the Empire 
will thrive as I dedicate my life to such.

Chatper 4: The throne of mine and hesitation is my enemy

The time has come, the votes have passed and I am now the Emperor of Thera. The
Dread lord had failed to vote which prolonged things, but it was only a matter of
time in my eyes before I held the throne. An arrogant man would feel this way, and 
so my pride led me to such thoughts. 

I finally took to speaking with my God Gaspare, as I took the first steps to truly 
following him. We spoke about my weakness, which was easily assessed, the weakness to
art, passion, love, the weakness to any who seeks greatness, hesitation. I had thought
since my sphere did not align with us, it was unorthadox. It, like my being born a 
drow, was something I could not change and that I would delay his divine teaching no role + more. 

I told him about a lingering feeling of yerning I saught from a particular wood-elf 
that had been developing, that I tried to supress. A Herald at that, which I jested 
to my lord that his passion intrigued me for the arts and was his fault that I had 
found an interest into this woman intrigued by trinkets, booze, and the arts. Fyliena,
a barmaid who I believe my interest grew towards her quite heavily when we ventured
alone to the Aboleths to gather her a dress. The moment she put it on, it was a 
stunning sight to see. My Lord told me to find her as my Muse, to not hesitate and
gain her love and affection for me. With this,  I will pursue her, create something 
from it. 

Being a bastard child, living on the streets of Hamsah, I did ask a small favor
from my God, and that was to give me a surname, as if I were his own particular
art piece or blank canvas in such a regard. He informed he'd think about such 
which is more than a mortal can expect of their God, but I could surely not wed
without one if that occassion is to ever arise.

I will need to curve my hesitation and pursue the greatness and create, fail, and 
pursue to make more beautiful art in the ways that I know how too for my Lord, 
and hopefully my prideful nature will nurture such, and not hinder.
