Description
A solid looking felar stands here in a slightly crouched stance. His skin
and fur is black and solid arms, legs and large chest muscles ripple with
vitality. Two thin eyes light in color seem to glow as they appear to
take in everything in their range. A long flat nose has several whiskers
on either side that twitch with the slightest movement. Furless ears point
outward from his head swallowing all sounds in the nearby area. A large
scar that has only slightly healed stretches across his cheekbone with
recent dried blood still clear in its wound. A large claw of perhaps a
bear hangs loosely below his neck is tied with twine of some sort.
Camouflaged armors and clothing blend in with his fur and surroundings
perfectly. An enormous honed spear is wielded firmly with two paws and
long razor-edged claws are clearly seen reaching to their glistening
sharp points at their ends. Across his back he has strapped a long wooden
staff and a small pack likely full of various provisions. His tail is
thick and curls around to the ground giving him excellent balance. He
looks to be very secure on his feet and in his posture could react and
move swiftly with ease. Sharp claws point outwards on his large feet
slightly shorter than those on his paws but no less deadly. He stares at
you with a deep concentration awaiting your next move.
Role
Coming of Age

I grew up in a village situated in a valley in the western part of Thera
with my kin. Wilds were all around us with swamps to the west as far as
our keen eyes could see, ancient forests to the north with trees so tall
you could not see their top and enormous mountains towering to the
clouds. We were a small tribe but were powerful fighters living off the
land as our ancestors had done for generations. They brought me up and
taught to live in harmony with the wilds. It provided us with food,
warmth, and shelter. Its rivers gave us fresh water, and we lived
content. I enjoyed the life, whether it be resting on a rock warmed by
the sun or the blood fueled frenzy of hunting game, to feed myself and my kin.
Sitting by a roaring fire one night, the village elders spoke of times
past. We had all seen the abhorrent, polluted city of Galadon to the far
east. Now one of many being built to the detriment of nature. If only
those within could stop for a moment and close their eyes and visualise
how things once were. Where they stood once was vast plains stretching
out in all directions. Trees once stood right where they stand. Rivers
once flowed, now polluted or damned, animals of all kinds roamed now long
gone. Now there is only concrete, iron and wood derived from fell trees,
mined earth and damned rivers. I listened carefully to their wise words
and now I had come of age endeavoured to stop this destruction. If we
left those within these cities to themselves, to continue to live their
way, then they would spread throughout the lands. They would seep their
way across Thera and destroy our way of life, and eventually the
wilderness would surely whittle away and die.
I spoke long into the night with the elders of the village. Knowing I was
determined to leave, they told me of a group of freedom fighters with
similar views seeking to end this curse of civilization brought upon this
world. They called it Thar-Eris and the powerful Ancients awakened from
their long slumber led them. I would train and hone my skills as a ranger
and seek them out. The greed of civilization sets many on their path,
blind to what is around them. We may turn some and teach them our ways,
but most will understand only that which my spear and claws could do.
Their blood will water the lands of Thar-Eris to feed her restoration.
Like the seasons change, so does my path, and I packed my belongings and
headed out eagerly on my new journey.
Outlanders

Much time has passed and as I travel to many more places across Thera, I
realise things are much worse that I could have ever imagined. I had seen
firsthand the spawn of unnatural creatures increasing, killing or
enslaving others in their wake. Cities continue to spread across Thera,
ever encroaching on the wilds enslaving the masses with their seduction
of gold and the pointless acquirement of such. Little do they realise
seduction and enslavement have taken them following this path. It seems
most are blind to it and need to be taught the way of nature and freedom.
Others are beyond any hope being unnatural, defilers of nature, spawns of
evil or enslavement is part of their corrupt soul and we will eradicate
them.
I have discovered an ancient tale in my travels of a long-lost group
called the Sylvan Warders. Destroyed in fire, though from their death
rising from the ashes, the Ancients awoke and the Outlanders of Thar-Eris
were born. I have now joined my brothers and sisters as we seek to end
the taint of civilization brought upon this world. To restore freedom to
all those that shall feel her call and take their place in the natural
cycle. I have now pledged my life to Ancients, and together we will
restore Thar-Eris.
