Description

At nearly 12 feet tall, this mountainous creature looms before your eyes. It is difficult to make out exactly his features and contour because of the large amount of hair on his body. The fur is thin and long, white in color. When you can see a piece of skin, you realize that it is dark, sunburnt. His eyes are practically hidden behind the big mane of hair that extends halfway down his back. His bushy beard and mustache hide the mouth. Practically only his nose can be discerned in his face. His body is strong, and you can even see a muscle here or there, but again the amount of fur is so much that it is impossible to get an exact notion of his body. The metal vest used for chest protection looks tight on his body. Tufts of fur emerge where the equipment ends. The same occurs in the arms, legs and feet. Hairy hands carry a sword and axe, both black as night.

My Curse

I don't remember exactly when it started, but I remember when it became a
concern. My mother was the first to notice. That wasn't natural, not for our
race. Facial hair appeared when I couldn't even walk yet. When I could barely
walk 2 feets without falling, my hair was envied by many women. Soon after it
spread all over the body, even in parts that rarely have hair.
In the beginning my mother always trimmed my fur, but later on she discovered
that it was useless as they grew so fast. I grew up with this thing that is
nothing less than a curse, and that's why I've always been very reclusive, to
avoid teasing. It caused me as much trouble as anyone can imagine, and I
always accepted it as cruel fate. I tried my best to get on with my life
despite everything.

Every secret no matter how well kept is revealed some day. One day I got home
early and saw my parents arguing. I saw that the discussion was about me and
decided to take a peek, and in that I heard something that changed my life.
In the middle of the discussion I heard my mother crying saying that her guilt
was immense and she regretted every day what she had done to me. My father was
raging and blaming her and it was at that moment that I walked in, to the
astonishment of both of them.

Surprised, the two had no choice but to tell me the truth. That's when I
learned the origin of my curse. 
Apparently my mother and some friends were apprenticed to a mage from Udgaard
when she was young. In an absence of the chief they took his hidden spell
book to recite some spells they thought were innocent. My mom stopped at the
page that said "Health and Beauty." She decorated as much as she could and
when she got home she cast the spell on her newborn son. I suspect she must
have mispronounced a word or two as the result was not as expected.
The result I carry like a curse to this day.

Going to isolation

After finding out what happened to me, living with my mother became unbearable.
Whenever I saw her I was reminded that she was to blame for my condition.
A mother should protect her children and not do what mine did to me. So I ran
away and became a wanderer. It was difficult at first, but I soon learned to
survive. I stayed in that condition for a long time, completely isolated from
the world, nobody knew where I was. I liked it. Nobody judged me and I almost
forgot about my curse. But it wasn't supposed to be like that.
One day on my wanderings I was surprised by 2 people. My reaction was one of
amazement at letting myself be seen. I had been careless. They immediately
attacked me when they saw me. One jumped at me and I managed to dodge, but the
other was focused. He said something strange and a ball of fire hit me in the
chest. I was thrown against a tree and just had time to get up and run. It
hurt so much and filled me with an anger I didn't remember having.
After all, from the beginning, everything was the fault of these people. These
so-called wizards. My curse was their fault. The pain I felt burning through
my chest was their fault. Nothing fairer than punish them. It was my right.
That's what I was going to do. It was time to break the isolation.
