ARENA COMBATANTS COMBATANT FIGHTER (2254)
To see the list of commands to issue or accept a fight, find the arena
mistress and type 'arena.'
Example of the commands to set-up a group fight:
Listria and Laurno wish to fight Malono and Maerna
1. All four characters must gather at the Arena Mistress.
2. Listria types 'arena group Laurno' to form the first team.
3. Listria, as team captain, then types 'arena challenge Malono Maerna'
4. Each of the challenged players (Laurno, Malono, and Maerna) each must
type 'arena accept y' to accept the fight.
5. Once the last player accepts, Listria and Laurno will be sent to one
preparation room. Malono and Maerna will be sent to another preparation room.
Other Notes:
One on one competition is certainly possible. It follows the above commands,
except the "group" will not have another character name, but instead be 'arena
group'.
You can only form an arena group once every 48 game hours.
The maximum number of arena groups at once in competition is two. Each arena
group may have three people.
The arena group can be thought of as "teams" where the last team to have
someone still standing wins. These teams may wish to employee traditional
group placement (ie, follow X, group X) to utilize gtell and other group
advantages. Doing this or not doing this will not affect the arena groups.
Once you make a group, you have approximately two minutes to send a challenge.
Once a challenge has been issued, each participant has approximately two
minutes to accept. Once everyone has accepted, each team has approximately
two minutes in the prep rooms before being forced into the fighting arena.
The spirit of arena fighting is to have a chance to prove your fighting skills
with no risk to your person or equipment. You do not suffer any con loss when
defeated. Even if you are disarmed in combat, the weapon returns to the
original owner upon completion. Skills and spells designed to damage
equipment will NOT work in the arena, as this is not in the spirit of the
competition.
After the challenge is issued, betting can commence. If a person rejects the
challenge, all bets are refunded. See 'ARENA BETTING' for more details.
