Morale reflects several aspects of one's comfort level and state of mind and
body. Societies and especially military leaders have long sought for ways to
influence the morale of citizens, soldiers, and opponents. Battles have been
lost because of armies demoralized by weather, lack of food and drink,
cowardly acts by their leaders or companions, and more. Confidence in one's
companions is especially important, and both race and class and even the
charisma of your leader may play a role. Morale's influence is subtle and may
affect many things, both seen and unseen. The ebb and flow of a battle, the
inherent trust one holds for one's companions, and the restfulness of one's
sleep may all be affected. High morale bolsters confidence and sharpens the
senses, making one succeed more readily with many skills, weather assaults upon
the mind, and even gain experience faster.
You can estimate your morale by looking at 'score'. The categories are:

Intrepid (highest)
